Manga Saint Hilare x Blay Vision - Save Yourself

Manga and Blay team up for one of the best grime projects of the year so far!

ALBUMS

Manga Saint Hilare and Blay Vision are the cream of the crop of the grime scene right now. Manga has been dropping consistent high quality projects for a number of years now, showcasing his diversity in his sound and the new avenues in which you can take your grime music. Blay Vision has done the same, with projects with Capo Lee and a joint album with Buggsy, Jammz and Mayhem Nodb creating waves in the last few years. And of course, who could forget the Cammy Riddim, which took off across the grime scene and internationally. A joint project from these two would be a thing of dreams, you would think.

Well, wake up because it's reality.

Save Yourself sees both MCs trade bars and hooks over a range of insane production, with Blay himself teaming up with 301 Circular, MoreNight, Silencer and Lewi B to create the instrumentals for this insane EP. Blay's melodic production shines on the opening track, NPC, with the piano blending perfectly with the bassline, for both Manga and Blay to flow perfectly over, dropping gaming-influenced wordplay to match the title. This feels like a true showcase of the best of grime, with both artists displaying their best work, complimenting each other's styles whilst making sure they have the best verse.

Collaborative projects like this are always sick to see in grime, especially when they go so sonically perfectly together as Manga and Blay do. And judging by the reception that 1234 got at the Jazz Cafe on Monday night, it would seem that most fans would agree.
