Essmac has been setting fire to the grime scene in 2024. He's strolled through the year, dropping insane tracks and shining on countless sets - notably when he came on the Shapin' Grime YouTube channel for Millzy's birthday special! All of that work has formulated into his debut EP release, titled Progressive Overload.
With a variety of sounds on here, Essmac is giving you everything you need. From mellower sounds on Want More (the voicenote at the end ain't all that mellow) to some grittier flows on Tunnel Visioning, Essmac is showing that his versatility in grime isn't restricted, and sets him up well for the future beyond his debut. And with the title of the EP linking to the gym ideology that demands constant work and pressure, it is clear that Essmac is fully intending on exercising his potential.
The progress is clear to see, as he shines alongside some strong features in Blizzard, P1CAPS, Niftz and Big Reapz. The fourth track on the EP, Hold Back, was released a year ago and the other tracks show his improvement in his delivery. Not to say that it is a bad song, but the others definitely overawe it in terms of quality.
