Released: 14/7/24
Over time, Blessed has shown himself to have one of grime's best flows and delivery of his bars, and this latest release is no different. Motion sees some of grime's current in-form artists collaborate with the MC to create a hard-hitting listen and one of the standout project releases of the year so far.
The intro track to the EP sets the pace for the project, and to other MCs both featuring and in the scene in general, that they need to be on their A-game to compete with Blessed. Crack of Dawn sees Blessed rise up the temperature with Kruz Leone as the two trade verses over a chilling instrumental with choppy violins.
From the mellow sounds on Time with Wilfred's production, to the skippy, fiery evergy on Reloads with Renz and Crafty 893, every track brings something different to the EP, which is why it is such a good listen. Even with it only being six tracks long, the project is very cohesive and sounds brilliant when taken in from start to finish. It is a great demonstration of where Blessed is as an artist and clearly reinforces that he is one of the top talents in this scene.
